Florence came as the biggest disappointment of the trip, relatively speaking of course. The city just had no charm to me. We reserved tickets to see David at 8:30 but when we got there the staff had a meeting and did not open up until 10:30. That kind of ruined the day. David was impressive though. We also went to the Uffizi gallery. Everyone had raved about how wonderful it was. It was ehh. After the Uffizi we went to the Boboli gardens. They were nice grounds but unlike the Villa Borghese in Rome you could not go on the grass. Also there were a ton of mosquitoes. Overall Florence did not compare at all to the other stops.
